Last week, November 18, 2012 I attended the biggest blogging event in the Philippines, Blogopolis: ONLIne in the Philippines. The event was a blast and was able to put up the high level of discussions on different principles of blogging including content creation, marketing, monetization and advocacy. I congratulate Nuffnang Philippines for a wonderful job on this event as it gathers all Filipino bloggers from all walks of life to discuss the ever flourishing and quite trendy business in the web.

I am on the final touches of my article about my experience at the Blogopolis and things I've learned from the event but for now, lets talk about something different. Us geeks sometimes have no time for ourselves because we devoted so much time in front of the books and computer! You know what I mean. As sometimes we spend sleepless nights, it is important to take a little effort in making ourselves stay cool, refreshed and fragrant!

Acqua Bella and Acqua Bene by penshoppe in Raspberry, Rock Chick
and Sweetheart scent--just great for a girly geek!
Acque Bella and Acqua Bene perfumes from Penshoppe are just right for girl and guy geeks who want to smell pretty sweet and cool! I gave this to my sister in law and she loves using it all day. By the way, I got this from the Blogopolis event where Penshoppe is one of the sponsors! As you can see from the photos above, those are just Acqua Bella perfumes--unfortunately, I wasn't able to get the one for men (Acqua Bene) so I can't give more comments about it.

While I got the perfume for girls, I can't deny that I have to try it for myself so at least, to give you my personal thoughts about it. Let's start with the I am Sweetheart, a kind of Acqua Bella scent.
For a chick geek who wants a simple and sweet scent, I am Sweetheart by Penshoppe is the right flavor for you. It has a chemistry of grapefruit and bergamut combined with vanilla and sheer musk that will give you the right sense to be adorable and attractive.
For a fruity and sweet scent, try this Fruity Mist Raspberry Drizzle, another Acqua Bella Scent by Penshoppe. Compared to I am Sweetheart, Raspberry Drizzle has light fragrance giving you more illumuminating aura and sweet scent of sparkling sensation! Not too strong but not too light scent, that's Raspberry Drizzle!
Now for a strong type of geek personality, I am Rock Chick, yet another Acqua Bella fragrance by Penshoppe will give you the strong smell geek guys will surely love! From a fruity floral notes of raspberry and Ylang-ylang with hints of white musk and sandalwood, I am Rock Chick has a distinct scent among the perfumes mentioned above.

So there you go geek guys and gals, if you haven't tried any of these perfumes yet, you better do! Get one and see for yourself today! To know more information about Penshoppe fragrances visit their Facebook Pages at Acqua Bene by Penshoppe and Acqua Bella by Penshoppe.

I should have shared this to you earlier but due to my busy schedule, I wasn't able to do so. Sigh! I can't even update this blog for new updates about the latest news in Tech. Such as the hacking incident of the MWSS website by Anonymous Philippines and the upcoming iPhone 5 which will be on the second week of September. I wish I have more time to spend sharing all these :(

I happened to visit Designrshub website and guess what, its EIC (editor in chief), Manuel Garcia is giving away iPod Touches (ouch, it sounds so bad!). His giveaway is open to everyone so check it out in this link if you want to join or check the banner in the sidebar. Simply follow the instructions in the Rafflecopter to make your entries count.

Anyways, congratulations Manuel for having such a great blog. May your digital content design niche continue to inspire people, especially those who are starting to study designing and that may your content give them great inspirations to become good in designing.

Nuffnang Philippines bade farewell to its country manager, Carlos Palma, who's moving to Havas Digital to sit as one of their Executive Directors. With sad goodbye also comes a sweet hello as the company welcomes Abe Olandres to take over his position as the new country manager.

Also known by many in the blogosphere as "Yuga", Abe Olandres is the heart and brain of the number one tech blog in the Philippines, Yugatech. He's also a co-founder of the Philippine Blog Awards and a co-organizer of the Search Engine Marketing Conference (SEMCON). His decade-long experience in professional blogging, technopreneurship, consulting, internet marketing, advertising and organizing conferences (Search Engine Marketing Conference) are worth-mentioning earned credentials that gave him edge to qualify for the position.

Nuffnang Philippines said that Yuga is also a passionate blogger just like Carlos Palma and that they're very proud of adding Yuga to the team.
Just like his predecessor, he is very passionate about blogging. He is a well-known blogger in the tech industry and a successful technopreneur (hint: he was our featured blogger last June). When Nuffnang was starting out here in the Philippines, he introduced the company to the local blogging community, and even guided the team with his technical know-how..
Today, we are very proud (and excited) to introduce the newest addition to our team, Mr. Abe Olandres of Yugatech & Yugadeals! ...
The team believes that his years of expertise in professional blogging will open more opportunities for our community, and hopefully, inspire everyone to share the same passion for blogging.
Welcome to the team, Abe!
Cheers, The Nuffnang Team
As a tech blogger, I'm also proud of seeing a professional tech blogger like Sir Abe achieving greater opportunities that starts through his dedication into sharing his thoughts about the latest gadgets and technology through blogging. He is a true inspiration to all and I wish that he may serve well on both sides of his career.

Again, congratulations Yuga! :)

If you would ask me what kind of phone I like to have nowadays, You won't expect me to answer a high-end phone that is available in the market now as it would sound too ambitious--worst, you would call me a #SocialClimber. But at the opposite, you won't also hear me saying just a feature phone as a techie like me would make you think, "This guy is so obsolete!".

But what phone exactly is that I like? Well, a smartphone that may not be the best yet but have a high value! A phone that may not understands me, but loves the way I feel and is pretty enough to look at. A phone that could give me more brightness to light up my day! That would be my answer.

As I answer that, it seems that Yuga is eavesdropping and just chose the right phone that I like! And now, he's giving me a chance to have it through his latest giveaway on his blog. Without a second thought, I joined his contest right away and followed simple instructions at the rafflecopter.

The Xperia P for me is one phone that I really like the specs. Being in the mid-range of the Sony Xperia Nxt series--between Xperia S and Xperia U, it has a distinguishing properties that can stand out from the rest that falls in the same line. Just like the WhiteMagic technology that the handset's screen is capable of outglowing almost any smartphone out there, which ensures excellent outdoor visibility, a 1GHz dual-core processor that ensures a responsive touch, an 8MP rear and VGA front-facing camera, perfect for Skype chatting and the latest android operating system (I'm not sure if the phone that will be given away is already updated to ICS but we'll see when I have it! :)).

I also want to have the Xperia P because it can give a little bigger and powerful smartphone that can outdo the performance of my present, entry level phone. With Xperia P, I am expecting better much efficiency, less hassle and more stylish phone I can flaunt everywhere I go--that I would feel proud using it in any occasion.

I wish to have a Sony Xperia P soon :) I hope to win one, so wish me luck!

HTC Philippines unveiled last night the HTC One S smartphone--the best smartphone that fall in the mid-range I've seen and the next generation HTC Desire family with Desire V and Desire C at The Block, SM North EDSA.

HTC One S, Desire V and Desire C now official in the Philippines
I know how much HTC fans out there have a lot of questions to ask about HTC One S and Desire series such as memory, battery life and of course, the price so I'll share all about that from what I've learned straight from the event.

Elegantly styled with an ultra-slim 7.9mm metal unibody, HTC One S is well suited for people who want a powerful smartphone that pushes the boundaries of mobile phone design. Built with premium materials, One S has a wonderful gradient color, ultra-matte black ceramic surface and unlike the HTC One X, its   unibody design is made up of super-dense crystalline metal that is four times harder than anodised aluminum, resisting the bumps and scrapes of everyday use to leave the HTC One S looking pristine. Despite that metal covering, HTC did a good job for making it light and sexy that is easy to grip even when using only one hand.

It is not true that HTC One S in the Philippines is only powered by SD3 as this phone comes with the powerful Snapdragon S4, Qualcomm processor and it is powered by the latest android operating system, Ice Cream Sandwich. The 1.5GHz dual-core CPU powers an ultra-responsive interface with rich graphics that come to life on the 4.3 inch bright Super AMOLED screen. With Gorilla Glass that flows over the edges of the phone, I can say that this phone really has a durable screen. It also has optical lamination offering wide viewing angles to make reviewing pictures and videos easy.

Among all incredible features sported by this phone, what I like the most is its 8MP Camera and its  Beats-integrated audio makes it produce more authentic sound.

With an f/2.0 lens and auto HDR mode, HTC ImageSense technology delivers fast image capture with stunning results, even under adverse lighting conditions. In just 0.7 seconds you’re able to take a shot and, with its new superfast 0.2 second autofocus, you’ll never miss a moment again. You can even take pictures as you shoot HD video, or extract high resolution stills from HD video in playback.

The Beats By Dr. Dre Audio integration gives a richer, more authentic sound whether you’re listening to your favourite music, watching a YouTube video or playing a game. HTC One S lets you customise the new Music Hub with your favourite services and music applications so there is only one place to go for all of your music.

Guess what, HTC has also partnered with Dropbox to provide consumers with 25 gigabytes of free online space for two years - that’s enough to keep more than 10,000 high-quality photos - so it’s easy to edit, save and share your documents on the go!

HTC One S is now available at authorized retailers and mobile operators with a suggested retail price of Php 26, 990.

As soon as I've learned that Intel Philippines is currently running a roadshow for their Intel-inspired Ultrabooks, I made a mark in my calendar as to when I could have a visit in one of their venues. Thanks to the Independence Day celebration, which is a non-working holiday to most of us, I able to have a free day to spree with my friends at SM City North EDSA!

'A New Breed Of Wow' Roadshow at SM North EDSA
I've been curious about these new breed of portable computers lately--as they say, "It's neither a laptop nor a notebook but an Ultrabook!" I've been fascinating them that I  always look for some reviews of it and read a whole article about it whenever I have my free time! And before I forgot, I did even promoted them here in my site for some times.

So I went to SM City North EDSA this last Independence Day to hang out with my friends and brought them to the roadshow. We've had a little fun there simply because it's not the typical roadshow we used to visit where we see and have a little hands-on of the gadgets but organizers have also prepared games wherein we were able to easily familiarize the different ultrabook brands, a bit of their standard specifications and a 'slim' chance of having them as we go through the different challenges of the game!

I don't want this post to go into that much details about what we did there as you might find it a spoiler--so you really have to visit one of their roadshows if you're curious enough to learn--but instead, I will leave some photos of our experience here for you to enjoy and to give you ideas how it's fun to visit their roadshows.

Have you already visited 'A new Breed of wow' roadshow too? Share your experiences and thoughts from the event at the comment section. If you want to know more about this event, just click here.
