UNIQLO Philippines, through its Facebook fanpage announced the beginning of another yet exciting T-shirt design contest that is open to everyone worldwide! The UTGP 2013 is here to stay and about to unearth new talented graphics and fashion designers!

From last year's Coca-cola inspired t-shirt designs, the participants this year will compete for the most creative "artist-themed" t-shirt designs featuring one of six internationally well-known music artists: AC/DC, David Bowie, Madonna, Kiss, Sex Pistols and The Who. This competition is no holds barred-- open to everyone regardless of age, gender and/or nationality, and submissions will be accepted from anywhere in the world!

The six international artists mentioned will personally select the winning design for the Artist's choice award while the People's Choice Award will be awarded to design that has the most number of votes online through the UNIQLO website.

A cool US$30,000 is at stake for the 12 winning designs.

UNIQLO will select an additional twelve entries for the Runner's Up category, and the company will produce UTs for all twenty-four designs and sell them at its stores throughout the world, as well as online, in 2013. Details regarding the sale of the UTs will be announced in due course.

Accepting of entries begins from August 3 to September 2, 2012.

For more information about the contest. Please visit their official website.

Nuffnang Philippines bade farewell to its country manager, Carlos Palma, who's moving to Havas Digital to sit as one of their Executive Directors. With sad goodbye also comes a sweet hello as the company welcomes Abe Olandres to take over his position as the new country manager.

Also known by many in the blogosphere as "Yuga", Abe Olandres is the heart and brain of the number one tech blog in the Philippines, Yugatech. He's also a co-founder of the Philippine Blog Awards and a co-organizer of the Search Engine Marketing Conference (SEMCON). His decade-long experience in professional blogging, technopreneurship, consulting, internet marketing, advertising and organizing conferences (Search Engine Marketing Conference) are worth-mentioning earned credentials that gave him edge to qualify for the position.

Nuffnang Philippines said that Yuga is also a passionate blogger just like Carlos Palma and that they're very proud of adding Yuga to the team.
Just like his predecessor, he is very passionate about blogging. He is a well-known blogger in the tech industry and a successful technopreneur (hint: he was our featured blogger last June). When Nuffnang was starting out here in the Philippines, he introduced the company to the local blogging community, and even guided the team with his technical know-how..
Today, we are very proud (and excited) to introduce the newest addition to our team, Mr. Abe Olandres of Yugatech & Yugadeals! ...
The team believes that his years of expertise in professional blogging will open more opportunities for our community, and hopefully, inspire everyone to share the same passion for blogging.
Welcome to the team, Abe!
Cheers, The Nuffnang Team
As a tech blogger, I'm also proud of seeing a professional tech blogger like Sir Abe achieving greater opportunities that starts through his dedication into sharing his thoughts about the latest gadgets and technology through blogging. He is a true inspiration to all and I wish that he may serve well on both sides of his career.

Again, congratulations Yuga! :)
